Jane Allsop has been cast in the role of Eva Franscis in "Devil's Dust". The two-part ABC series is based on Matt Peacock's book "Killer Company", and tells the story of the James Hardie asbestos saga. The Freemantle Media production is being directed by Jessica Hobbs, and stars Ewan Leslie, Anthony Hayes and Don Hany. Shooting commences on March 19th.

To promote the new series of "Tangle" soon to be seen on Showcase Foxtel, Jane shot a 6-page fashion shoot up on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. The Woman's Weekly March Issue is out now.

"Underbelly Files: Tell them Lucifer was Here" in which Jane played Carmel Arthur, will screen again on Channel 9. The telemovie can be seen at 8:30 on Wednesday January 11th.

The third series of "Tangle" will have it's long awaited premiere on March 25th on Showcase. Jane Allsop plays Tanya Hicks who becomes a pivotal character in this series.

The Green Guide names "The Slap" as the number 1 show of 2011. "Here, finally, was the Australian television show that stood alongside the very best of American and British television drama; eight fierce and finely wrought hours adapted from Chistos Tsiolkas' book."

"The Slap" will begin screening on the ABC on Thursday 6th of October at 8:30pm. The series consists of eight episodes, and whilst appearing in several of them, Jane's role of Tracey is predominantly in the final episode. The timeslot of the "The Slap" will unfortunately clash with "Rush" on Channel 10, which Jane also appears in.

The sci-fi/horror short film "Attack", in which Jane played Carol, has been enjoying considerable success. It just won the award for Best Short at L'Etrange in Paris, and has been selected to screen at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival (Atlanta, Georgia), the Spooky Movie Film Festival (Washington D.C.), Dedfest (Alberta, Canada), and the Mile High Horror Film Festival (Denver, Colorado).

The fourth series of "Rush" has wrapped. It will begin going to air this Thursday on Channel 10. Jane Allsop plays the recurring role of Tash Button.

Jane appeared on the special law-and-order episode of "Talking about your generation" tonight. She was dressed up as Farrah Fawcett's character from "Charlie's Angels". Generation X won and Jane went home with the yo-yo trophy!

Shooting on the third series of "Tangle" wrapped on Friday. Cast and crew celebrated last night at Southpaw bar.

The first two episodes of "The Slap" will be screened at the Melbourne International Film Festival on August the 4th. Another screening along with a discussion with the directors will take place on the 6th of August.

"Golden Girl" was screened at Cinema Nova for all cast and crew today. It will be appearing in various festivals over the next twelve months.

Jane has commenced work on the third series of "Tangle". Her character Tanya Hicks will appear in all episodes of the series, with Emma Freeman and Michael Rowland directing.

Jane will be returning to Radio National's "The Lonely Hearts Club" on Saturday April the 2nd. Jane was invited onto the program as a regular contributor, to talk about her passion for cooking. On her last visit she discussed the art of cooking for one, and the strong ties between love and food. This week she will be talking through her suggested menu for a homestyle dinner date. Casual but tasty tucker to win over a loved one! She will also be presenting her segment in their final episode for this series on April the 9th.

Jane Allsop has just been cast in the role of Tracey in "The Slap". "The Slap" is an eight-part drama by the ABC, based on the award winning book by the same name. Tracey is the mother of Richie, played by Blake Davis, whom Jane is familiar with through working on "Tangle". The role of her estranged partner, and father to Richie, will be played by Brendan Cowell, who also wrote part of the series. Other cast members include Jonathon LaPaglia, Alex Dimitriades, Melissa George, Sophie Okonedo, Essie Davis, Anthony Hayes and Sophie Lowe.

Jane Allsop recently completed filming on the Film Victoria funded short film "Golden Girl". The film is being produced by Happening Films and was directed by Grant Scicluna. Jane plays the mother of a beautiful young girl who is left with horrendous burns after an accident. The film tells the story of how they all struggle to cope in the aftermath of this event.

"Underbelly files - Tell them Lucifer was here" will air on the Nine network on Monday the 7th of February. Jane Allsop plays one of the lead roles, Carmel Arthur, who was widowed and left to raise her 7 week old son on her own, after her husband Rodney Miller was murdered.
